From Harlem to Texas: A Bourbon That Carries History
The legacy of the 369th Infantry Regiment, the Harlem Hellfighters, stretches far beyond New York. Now, Old Hillside Bourbon Company honors that history with a limited-edition Harlem Hellfighters Bourbon, blending craftsmanship with cultural remembrance.
Finished in French oak wine barrels for 191 days, symbolizing the regiment’s 191 days on the front lines in France, the bourbon pays tribute to its production. Only 150 cases were released, with labels honoring Benjamin O. Davis Sr., Henry Johnson, and James Reese Europe, whose influence carried Harlem’s spirit across the globe.
For Texas, one of the country’s fastest-growing whiskey markets, the release resonates deeply. It reflects how stories born in Harlem continue to travel, shaping culture, industry, and identity far beyond their origin.
More than a collector’s bottle, this bourbon stands as proof that spirits can preserve memory, and that history, like whiskey, is meant to be shared.
